OUR JOURNEY

A family legacy

Rooted in Oaxaca, México, the art and science of making mezcal has been passed from one generation to the next for over 120 years. Don Bernardo learned the craft of making artisanal mezcal from his elders, and now, with deep knowledge and unwavering passion, he is passing his wisdom and skills to his daughter Fabiola. Together, they continue this cherished tradition.

Where Art Meets Mezcal

In Santa Cruz, California, inspired by our late family member Sam Hernández, a renowned artist whose paintings grace the labels of each bottle of Huxal, our next generation, led by son-in-law Franco Boffi, is taking up the mantle to nurture and preserve the visions held by Don Bernardo and Sam.
